Ontario announced Monday it will be investing $10 million over four years to develop next-generation transportation technologies.
The money will be funneled to the Canadian Urban Transit Research and Innovation Consortium (CUTRIC).
Premier Kathleen Wynne said Monday the investment is part of the province’s Climate Change Strategy.
As part of the collaboration, CUTRIC will be working with Brampton Transit to lead the Pan-Ontario Electric Bus Demonstration Trial, a large-scale demonstration trial of zero-emission buses by seven transit agencies.
