WINNIPEG — Keith McCambridge will not be returning next season to coach the Manitoba Moose.

The Winnipeg Jets have chosen to not renew McCambridge’s contact. He has been the head coach of the organization’s AHL team for the last five seasons.

“His commitment and hard work during two separate periods of transition for our AHL franchise should not be overlooked and is greatly appreciated,” said Kevin Cheveldayoff, the general manager of the Winnipeg Jets in a release.

McCambridge grew up in Selkirk, Manitoba and previously played for the Moose. He became an assistant coach with the team in 2009.

The team also announced it is not renewing the contract for Will Craig, the video coach for the Moose.

Out of 30 teams, the Moose finished third last in the American Hockey League this season. It was the team’s first season back in Winnipeg since moving to St. John’s in 2011.
