Members of the underwater team located the human remains in a slough on private property. The owners granted permission to police to search their property and are not connected to the investigation.

An autopsy is scheduled to take place in Saskatoon on Friday to confirm the identity of the remains.

Napope was reported missing in June 2015 after last being seen near the end of May at a house party.

Following a lengthy investigation, his disappearance was ruled a homicide.
