SASKATOON – Does where something was made affect whether or not you buy it? In the past month, there have been two major consumer pushes to support Canadian product.
First, it was the ketchup-kerfuffle: Loblaws reversing its decision to remove French’s Canadian made ketchup after a public outcry. Now, a buy local movement is petitioning Billy Bee, Canada’s biggest honey packer, to stop mixing foreign honey with Canadian product.
