All hail is breaking loose in Saskatchewan.
The Canadian Crop Hail Association says farmers in the province have so far filed 2,200 hail damage claims this season.
Association chairman Murray Bantle says that is double the typical number for this time of year.
He says claims continue to pour in from storms earlier this week so the number will continue to grow.
Some hail claim adjustments may be deferred to later in the season to better determine the extent of crop losses.
Bantle says hail claims in Alberta and Manitoba are also higher than usual for this time of year.
