LAKE ECHO, N.S. – Police have confirmed that a Nova Scotia shooting that left two people dead on Saturday night was a murder-suicide.
RCMP Cpl. Scott MacRae says police responded to a call just after 8 p.m. to a house on Ponderosa Drive in Lake Echo.

He says police found a 47-year-old woman just inside the premises.
Police didn’t go in again until just after midnight when the house was secured.
MacRae says police then found the body of a 50-year-old man.
Both died of gunshot wounds.
