CALGARY – An investigation is underway after a fire sparked at a home under construction in the community of Aspen Heights on Sunday.
Crews were called to the 100 block of Aspen Ridge Heights S.W. at around 6:40 p.m.
A large plume of smoke could be seen as fire crews approached the community.
When they arrived, firefighters found the home engulfed in flames which had spread to the roof of a neighbouring home.

Four people living inside the neighbouring home were able to get out safely before crews arrived.
Crews extinguished the fire, which caused significant structural damage to the home of origin.
No injuries were reported.
