Saskatoon police patrol car involved in crash with tree

SASKATOON – A Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) patrol vehicle was involved in a crash Saturday. The crash caused serious damage to the car.

Emergency services were called to the 1400-block Idylwyld Drive North after a police member had radioed that he had been in a collision.

Police say the patrol car was travelling in the southbound lane and collided with a tree.

The police member was taken by MD Ambulance to hospital. Injuries are believed to be non-life threatening, according to officials.

At this time, the police traffic section is investigating the single-vehicle crash.
