Global Edmonton nominated for 7 RTDNA awards

EDMONTON — Global Edmonton has been nominated for seven RTDNA Canada awards in the Prairie Region, including best newscast.

On top of the nominations (listed below) Global Edmonton’s veteran news anchor Gord Steinke will be honoured with the Prairie Region Lifetime Achievement Award at the awards ceremony in Medicine Hat on April 23.

RTDNA Canada Awards honour the best journalists, programs, stations and newsgathering organizations in radio, television and digital.

“At a time of unprecedented challenges to our industry, it is now more important than ever to recognize the very best in Canadian electronic and digital journalism,” RTDNA Canada President Ian Koenigsfest said.

“These prestigious awards allow us to put aside our competitive energies for an evening and celebrate the very best in Canadian journalism.”

Sports Award – Busy Sports Mom
