Wake to be held for 16-year-old Delaine Copenace Monday afternoon

WINNIPEG — Family and friends will honour the life of Kenora teen, Delaine Copenace Monday afternoon.

Copenace’s twin sister posted on Facebook saying the family is holding a traditional wake for the teen. It will be held at the Knox United Hall at 3 p.m. in Kenora.

“We will be wearing black and white on the day of her funeral but it’s okay if you don’t want to,” Copernance’s sister said on Facebook.

A traditional burial for the 16-year-old is also being help on Thursday a 11 a.m.

Copenace went missing on Feb. 27 after she was last seen in downtown Kenora.

On March 22 her remains were found in Lake of the Woods, by the Ontario Provincial Police.
