Man suspected of running north Okanagan dial-a-dope operation arrested

VERNON — Vernon RCMP arrested a 24-year-old Lower Mainland man in a dial-a-dope investigation on Wednesday.

The Delta man was living in local hotels and suspected of operating a drug trafficking operation in the community, according to police.

“Following the arrest, officers obtained a search warrant for his hotel room and located quantities of heroin and methamphetamine, an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency, and other drug trafficking paraphernalia,” said Cst. Jocelyn Noseworthy in a news release.

Noseworthy said the man has been released pending a court date for two charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Police haven’t released his name.
