Saskatchewan Union of Nurses ratifies four-year agreement

REGINA – The Saskatchewan Union of Nurses has ratified a tentative four-year agreement with employers.

The union says more than 91 per cent of members who took part in province-wide voting yesterday cast ballots in favour of the deal reached earlier this month.

The contract with the Saskatchewan Association of Health Organizations calls for two lump-sum payments to a maximum of 800 dollars for each of the fiscal years of 2014 and 2015.

There will also be a one-point-five per cent general wage hike in each of the following years.

The employer is expected to ratify the agreement next month.
