A car traveling northbound failed to stop at the intersection and struck a westbound pickup truck, sending both vehicles into the ditch.

The male driver of the truck died at the scene, and a passenger inside the vehicle suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the car remains in hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

RCMP say charges are pending, but alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
