WINNIPEG – Part of a highway in Selkirk has been closed because of flooding.
A section of Highway 204 southeast of the Red River is till shut down after crews blocked it off yesterday.
An ice jam on Friday evening caused river levels to rise temporarily but the jam broke up, according to a city of Winnipeg official.
A provincial news release issued earlier this week said the Red River will likely have already peaked at Emerson.
The crest is expected to arrive further downstream in Winnipeg between Sunday and Tuesday.
