The $71-million gallery is scheduled to open in 2015 at downtown’s River Landing.

Tom also said as Saskatoon draws newcomers from around the globe, it is becoming an important metropolitan centre, worthy of an exceptional gallery.

“We encourage corporations, families and individuals to recognize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build a world-class art gallery.”

The multi-use gallery will provide more than three times the space as the Mendel Art Gallery and will house a civic collection worth $16-million.
