One person was killed Sunday evening following a crash in northern Saskatchewan. Mounties say it happened around 7 p.m. CT on Highway 155 approximately 10 kilometres north of Buffalo Narrows.

According to police, a northbound pickup truck left the highway, entered a ditch and rolled.

A 24-year-old woman who was a passenger in the truck was ejected. She was pronounced dead at a local medical centre. Her name has not been released.

The driver of the truck, a 24-year-old man, was treated for minor injuries and released.

Mounties say they were not wearing seatbelts.

The cause of the fatal crash remains under investigation.
