The university women’s volleyball team dropped a tight four-setter in the national semifinal Saturday, falling to the second-ranked Toronto Varsity Blues.

The Okanagan girls took the first set 25-21, but tides seemed to turn in set two. Toronto rallied around strong play from Kailin Jones, who had 17 digs on the day, and was able to even things up with a very close 26-24 win.
After that, sets three and four were all Toronto. They punched their ticket to the finals with 25-22 and 25-21 set victories.
Toronto will take on Trinity Western, the defending champions, later today for gold. The Heat will try to salvage a medal when they play the UBC Thunderbirds at 1 p.m.
