Even a hotdog couldn’t get this hot dog out from under a police patrol car.
Lt. Tom Van Horn from the Phoenix Police Department was trying to disperse a pack of dogs in the middle of a street Wednesday, when one pup ran right under his patrol car, getting stuck in the undercarriage.
He tried to coax the dog out with a hotdog, but the Chihuahua mix refused to budge. That’s when he called for the help of an animal control officer.

“The dog was really scared and he wasn’t sure whether it was hurt or not,” said Maricopa County Animal Control spokesperson Melissa Gable, who estimates the dog is less than a year old.
The animal control officer was able to rescue the dog. The female pup was brought to a shelter where she was examined and given a bath.
“She was in remarkably good condition,” said Gable.
Although she didn’t appear emaciated, the eight-pound dog didn’t have a collar, tags or microchip.
The dog was named “Tahoe” after the model of the patrol car she hid under and will become available for general adoption this Sunday if an owner does not come forward.
