Police ask public help in finding Toronto arson suspect

TORONTO – Police are requesting public assistance in locating a man wanted in a connection with an arson investigation.

Police said the suspect set fire to a motel near Kingston Road and Beechgrove Drive on Sunday Feb. 28.

On Friday, police said Toronto resident Omar Roberts, 37, is wanted on charges of arson endangering life and arson damage.

He is described as 5’9″ tall, weighing 180 pounds, with short black hair. He may be carrying a red GoodLife gym bag.

Police are advising the public not to approach him.
