LETHBRIDGE, Alta. – A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Calgary man charged in an assault on a southern Alberta police officer.
Aaron Head, who is 24, was to appear in Lethbridge provincial court Friday, but didn’t show up.

It’s the second time in the last month that he’s failed to appear in court.
Head is charged in the aggravated assault of a Lethbridge police officer and being an accessory to an escape.
The charges go back to February 2011 when Const. Norman Smith was badly beaten while making an arrest. (CJOC)
