EDMONTON – Three people are dead and one is in critical condition after a shooting early today at the University of Alberta campus in Edmonton.
Police spokesman Scott Pattison says it was an attempted armed robbery of one or more amoured vehicles in the Hub Mall area.
He would not confirm reports that the dead are two men and a woman and were employees of an armoured vehicle company.
Pattison says Hub Mall has been locked down.
Hub Mall has student residences and shops, but Pattison says no students were involved.
Pattison also says the suspect or suspects remain at large.
