OSOYOOS — The conduct hearing for a former Osoyoos Mountie, who has been on paid leave for almost three years, has been postponed for a third time.
RCMP haven’t specified why the disciplinary hearing is being delayed.
Cst. Amit Goyal has been suspended with pay since June, 2013.
He was scheduled to attend a code of conduct hearing on Tuesday in Vancouver to determine whether he’s guilty of disgraceful conduct and making false statements, according to the RCMP’s website.
He was initially scheduled to attend a code of conduct hearing on July 28, 2015, but it was postponed until Aug. 31, 2015. Then that hearing was suddenly adjourned.
Documents obtained by CKNW show Goyal was once an RCMP whistle blower, who raised concerns about the actions of one senior officer: click here to see the report .
