Edson RCMP charge 21-year-old man with first-degree murder

EDMONTON – Edson RCMP have charged a 21-year-old man with first-degree murder after the body of a teen was found in an apartment on Friday morning.

Tyrell James Perron was arrested on Friday night. He is also facing charges of indignity to human remains and possession of a prohibited firearm. Perron will appear in an Edson court March 15.

Police have not released any other details about the victim.

The Edmonton Major Crime Unit has been called to assist the Edson Detachment. Edson GIS and Edson Forensic Identification Section are also assisting.

An autopsy is scheduled for next week in Edmonton.
