Flood watch, evacuation alerts still in effect for North Okanagan, Shuswap - image

With more rain expected Tuesday night, residents in the North Okanagan and Shuswap are being asked to stay alert.

A flood watch remains in effect for the Shuswap River. Flows are elevated in Enderby but Emergency Info B.C. says there may soon be a decline in river levels.

An evacuation alert is still in effect for the area surrounding Sims Creek. Sundance Road and a portion of Cambie Solsqua Road are covered in the alert.

An evacuation alert also remains in effect for Ashton Creek and the Creekside Mobile Home Park. The area has been under the alert since last Wednesday.
