Canada-wide arrest warrant issued for man convicted of armed robbery, assaulting police

TORONTO — Police are asking the public for help in finding a federal inmate convicted of armed robbery and assaulting a police officer.

Ontario Provincial Police’s Repeat Federal Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad said in a release that Jamie David Cook is wanted on a Canada-wide arrest warrant for breach of parole.

Cook is described by police as a 32-year-old man, standing 5’10”, 200 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. Police said he has a tattoo on his left hand that reads “BREED”, one on his right hand that reads “DYING” and another on his neck that reads “LOYALTY.”

Cook is serving a five-year, seven-month sentence for armed robbery, forcible confinement, disguise with intent and assaulting a police officer.

Police said he is known to frequent the Barrie, Bradford, Brockville and Toronto areas.
