Violent break-in in northeast Edmonton leaves man fighting for his life

EDMONTON – A 31-year-old man is fighting for his life after being shot in northeast Edmonton Monday afternoon.

At around 2 p.m., officers were called to reports of a home invasion and shooting in Kernohan near 25 Street and 133 Avenue.

Police said the victim is now in hospital in serious, life-threatening condition.

Police said a suspect vehicle was seen leaving the scene and later found in the community of Glengarry, near 85 Street and 136 Avenue.

According to investigators, several people were taken into police custody for questioning once the vehicle was found but no charges have been laid.
