Boundaries: This riding contains much of the previous riding of Saskatoon Silver Springs, but loses the area around the Saskatchewan River and gains a small area of the former riding of Saskatoon Southeast.

History: Saskatoon Silver Springs was created prior to the 2003, which was one by Cheveldayoff. Prior to that, the northeastern area of the city had been held by NDP MLAs since 1986.
