WEST KELOWNA — Police are searching for a suspect after an apparent assault at a West Kelowna restaurant on Friday.

West Kelowna RCMP responded to a 9-1-1 call from patrons at Cherry Pit restaurant shortly after 2 p.m.

Police say the 9-1-1 caller reported a man being struck by another man in the restaurant parking lot.

A witness told Global News a man had minor injuries from the incident.

Officers attended the scene and found the alleged victim, who wasn’t cooperating with police.

The suspect, who fled the scene in a four-door tan coloured GMC truck, is described as being six feet tall, wearing a dark shirt and light pants.

His face was reportedly covered with a mask.
