Nova Scotia NDP to choose new leader Saturday

Sometime Saturday, the Nova Scotia New Democrats will have a new leader.

Gary Burrill, Dave Wilson and Lenore Zann are all vying for the top job.

Darrell Dexter, the former leader of the N.S. NDP, stepped down a month after the party went from being in power to third party status following the 2013 provincial election.

Following Dexter’s resignation, Maureen MacDonald was named acting leader.

It’s expected the new leader will be officially announced around 2:30 p.m.
