The Coroners Service will look into whether any medical issues played a role in the death.

An Alberta man is dead after a strange accident at a North Okanagan golf course.

At 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, RCMP responded to a report of a golf cart rollover at the Predator Ridge Golf Course.

There were two middle aged men from Alberta in the golf cart; one man died on the scene from his injuries while the other man was taken to hospital.

Witnesses say the golf cart hit a retaining wall then turned, went over an embankment and fell about 20 feet onto a road below.

The names, ages and hometown of the two men have not been released.

Predator Ridge issued a statement Friday morning. Read it verbatim below:

“Predator Ridge Resort confirms that on the evening of June 7th a terrible tragedy occurred which resulted in the loss of one person’s life. The police are investigating the cause of the accident and as the information is very limited at this time, we suggest that any inquiries are directed to the Vernon RCMP.

The entire staff and organization of Predator Ridge Resort is saddened by this loss and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the deceased.”
