MONTREAL – A Montreal police officer has been found guilty of assault in relation to a violent arrest in October 2012.

Stéfanie Trudeau, better known by her badge number 728, was caught on cellphone video arresting Serge Lavoie in a stairwell on Papineau Avenue in Montreal.

The video showed Trudeau using excessive force to arrest Lavoie after he was spotted drinking beer on the street.
