Making movies in the Okanagan – Feb 26, 2016

KELOWNA–Film crews are needed in the Okanagan.

Starting in March, as many as six television movies of the week will begin production in the Okanagan.

The movies will be shot back to back until the end of June.

Each movie has a one million dollar budget and will be broadcast on Hallmark Channel.

An independent feature film called “The Plateau” is shooting in Kelowna from April 11-30.  It’s being shot locally by Production Manager Iain Hittel.

“We need crew,” says Jon Summerland, Okanagan Film Commissioner.

Beyond the movies already scheduled to begin production, several more projects are in discussion.
