Sand bags to protect North Okanagan residents and their properties from the threats of flooding are available from the North Okanagan Regional District.
Below is a list of the locations. Residents are reminded to bring their own shovels:

Coldstream – sand and sand bags available at two locations: Kalamalka Lake Rd, across from Postill Drive, and School Road across from Jeffers Park in Lavington

Lumby – sand and sand bags located in gravel parking lot across from Lumby Arena/Curling Rink parking lot located at 2230 Shields Avenue

RDNO – sand bags only located outside gates at the Fire Training Centre on 300 Pottery Road

Spallumcheen – sand and sand bags located outside gate of Public Works yards located at 1511 Eagle RockRoad

Vernon – sand and sand bags are available at two locations: Vernon City Yards – outside main gate on Pleasant Valley Road and at the corner of Okanagan Ave. and Okanagan Landing Rd
Sand bags are available at two locations: City Yards at 1900 48th Avenue during work hours
After hours, they are available at the Vernon Fire Hall at 3401 30th Street
