In-flight beauty tricks

Flying to New York to be a guest on the Today Show has definitely taught me the importance of staying fresh in-flight. Taking a red eye for 5 hours can leave you looking a little rough, let alone camera ready! So ladies, here are some of my in-flight beauty tips to help you arrive in style with nothing but TSA approved liquids, a clear plastic bag and a little imagination.

1. Tie your hair in a scarf to combat bad hair at the end of a long flight, and refresh near the end of a flight with a hair powder, like a dry shampoo, helps combat oily scalp or limp hair.

2. Choose water over fizzy drinks which have a bloating effect or caffeinated beverages or and alcohol which will cause dehydration.

3. Moisturizing tissues and baby-wipes can be a godsend for cleansing, refreshing, cooling

4. Bring a hairbrush. I like the compact, flip-out hair brush and mirrors in one. They are a great space saver.

5. Cucumber eye pads are great. These pre-moistened pads soothe and refresh tired and puffy eyes. If you’re embarrassed, quickly put an eye mask over top of them so it looks like you’re taking a snooze.

6. Solid cocoa butter is a great hand moisturizer and you won’t have a problem with the TSA liquid allowance

6. Wait until the end of the journey to put on your face, rather than relying on touching up the effect you’ve been wearing for hours

Happy Travels!
