The family of a man killed when his car was hit head on by a stolen pickup truck on Thursday has been identified.

Keith Arthur Morley was 52 years old and driving to work in Calgary from his home in Turner Valley, southwest of Calgary.

His brother, Ross Morley, says Keith was a supervisor with Centron Construction in Calgary. He was well known in Turner Valley and an active member with his church.

Keith Morley was driving his car north on 37 Street, near 130 Avenue S.W., when he was hit by a pickup truck going the wrong way.

Police confirm the truck was stolen and an officer with the Tsuut’ina Nation Police tried to stop the truck on the reserve just before the crash.

Three people in the truck ran away after the collision. A 17-year-old boy and a 26-year-old woman were arrested in Fish Creek Park and later charged. They are both believed to be have been passengers in the pickup.

Morley said he’ll miss his brother.

“Last week he sent me a text. It said ‘I love you, have a good day’.  You know, we just move forward and try to live by the example he tried to leave. You never know so start living like it’s your last day.”

Morley will be buried on Saturday.
