WINNIPEG – Two city councillors are trying to stop a proposed organic waste collection program from being rolled out in Winnipeg.

Councillors Ross Eadie and Russ Wyatt plan to put forward a motion at City Hall next week that would suspend the program.
They say before the plan is introduced, it should be debated by city council.
Public consultations have already begun on the program.
