Go home monkey, you’re drunk. Oh, and drop the kitchen knife on the way out.
Firefighters were reportedly called to a bar in Paraiba, Brazil earlier this month after a capuchin monkey got into the sauce, grabbed a kitchen knife and proceeded to chase customers in the tavern, UPI news reported.

Fire officials claimed the monkey drank a glass of rum before grabbing the large blade and chasing men around the bar. Apparently the monkey only had a beef with the men in the pub, as the monkey left the female customers alone.
“It was a bar staff oversight that ended with the monkey drinking some rum and taking the knife,” Lt. Saul Laurentino told local media, and translated by UPI.

According to UPI, firefighters captured the monkey and the capuchin was released into the wild. However, the monkey reportedly caused more trouble a short time later, scaring children in the area of where the animal was released, leading to the recapture of the capuchin.
