WINNIPEG — Over 100 people came together on Tuesday at the Gateway Recreation Centre hoping to find some clues in the case of Cooper James Nemeth’s disappearance.
Organizers of the search on Tuesday handed out flyers with Nemeth’s photo into different batches so that volunteers could make sure every street in the area was checked.
“We are trying to stay positive,” Laresa Sayles, Nemeth’s aunt said while holding back tears. “We are not going to lose hope or faith.”
It’s been three days since the grade 12 student went missing. He was last seen in the early morning hours Sunday at a house party.

Police pinged his phone and said it was turned off at 10:34 p.m. Sunday.
Although his aunt says he has been dealing with an ADHD diagnoses and some anxiety, this is not typical behaviour.
“I’m started to get worried about him not taking his medication and the side effects that come with that,” Sayles said.
Friends also said this incident is unusual.
“He is a very happy, kind guy,” Drew Pauls said.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit at 1-204-986-6250 or Crime Stoppers.
