WINNIPEG – Winnipeg police officers and fire fighters will be lacing up their skates Saturday night for their annual game that raises money for charity.
This will be the fifth year for the Guns and Hoses Charity Hockey game.
Since it began, the event has raised around $50,000 for various charities.
This year, money raised by the Winnipeg Police Service players will go towards programs supporting Spinal Muscular Atrophy while the funds raised by the fire fighters’ team will support Huntington Disease.
Saturday’s game is being held at the MTS Ice Plex. It’s open to the public and tickets cost $10 each.
