PENTICTON – A Penticton skateboarder was air-lifted to the Kelowna hospital after being struck by a pickup truck.
It happened Thursday just after 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Industrial Avenue when the driver was making a left turn.

Police believe the 14-year-old boy was riding a skateboard on the crosswalk when he was hit, suffering serious head injuries.
The 33-year-old pickup driver was not hurt.
A RCMP crash re-constructionist is helping with the investigation.
