Bei Bei climbed pretty high before his mother helped him back down to the ground.
The cub was named Bei Bei last September when Peng Liyuan and Michelle Obama, first ladies of China and the United States, visited the zoo.
The zoo was also the first one in the United States to house giant pandas in 1972, following former U.S. President Richard Nixon’s historic trip to China.
