EDMONTON- Sherbrooke Liquor Store has been named “Alberta’s Best Bottle Shop” according to Ratebeer.com
The California-based website tabulates wins based on customer reviews.
“It was purely customer reviews that started to build up–so once we found out about it we were quite shocked, because we didn’t even know we were in the running,” Stephan Bezan, Sherbrooke’s beer department manager said.
Sherbrooke Liquor was also rated in the top three in Canada.
“I know what probably sets us apart is our selection of craft beer and all the cool, interesting and local products that we’re able to bring in,” Bezan said. “In our minds, that’s our main focus and what we’re most proud of.”

Sherbrooke Liquor carries 2,000 different kinds of beer from around the world.
“Our favourite thing to do is invite new customers to come in and we can show them around and teach them about beer. My favourite thing is to see a person’s face right when they walk into the beer cooler and realize the selection that we do have.”
Other local notables: The Sugarbowl won “Best Alberta Restaurant” for its beer selection and Beer Revolution won “Best Pub.”
