It’s official. Toronto broke the all-time high and low temperature for the month of February on Wednesday.
Environment Canada recorded a daytime high of 16C on Feb. 3 which broke the old record of 14.9C set on Feb. 23, 1984.
Even the overnight low dropped to only 1.7C and is considered the warmest since records began in 1937.

The national weather office said the record is even more noteworthy as warmer temperatures are usually found near the end of February when the sun is much higher in the sky.
