SASKATOON — Brogan O’Brien had a goal and three assists as the Prince George Cougars blanked the Saskatoon Blades 7-0 on Tuesday in Western Hockey League action. Aaron Boyd scored twice while Cougars (31-18-3) netminder Nick McBride made 27 saves for the shutout.

Jansen Harkins, Jesse Gabrielle, Bartek Bison and Jared Bethune rounded out the attack.

Evan Smith turned away 25-of-32 shots for Saskatoon (18-29-4).

Prince George winger Chase Witala was ejected in the second period after being handed a major for checking to the head as the two team combined for 101 penalty minutes in a chippy game.

The Blades look to get back in the win column when they take on the Swift Current Broncos on Saturday. Puck drops at 7:05 p.m. CT at SaskTel Centre.
