LETHBRIDGE – Community members are being asked to continue celebrating the downtown core.
Ten years ago, the Heart of Our City Master Plan was established in Lethbridge to help revitalize the downtown. To help commemorate the milestone, nominations are being accepted for individuals, businesses and organizations whose outstanding efforts enhance the core.
“We are pleased to recognize the tremendous work that takes place every day in downtown Lethbridge,” Dawn Leite, Heart of the City committee member and co-chair of the Celebrate Downtown event, said. “Outstanding individuals, businesses and organizations have invested time, ideas and capital into our downtown to make it more beautiful, livable, exciting, vibrant, accessible and sustainable.”
Nominations can be submitted in five categories:
Back in the Day Award: Recognizes a nominee who has contributed to the preservation of downtown Lethbridge
Champagne Award: Recognizes a nominee for being a champion of a vibrant downtown
Hip Downtown Transformation Award: Recognizes a nominee who has been a leader in the transformation of downtown
Running with the Bulls Award: Recognizes a nominee who has challenged the status quo to maintain a vibrant downtown
Taking Care of Business Award: Recognizes a nominee who has been committed to taking care of the downtown community
