CALGARY – A petition started by two local radio hosts is asking the Calgary Stampede to name All-Star MVP John Scott as parade marshal for the 2016 Stampede.

Scott served as Pacific Division captain during the 2016 NHL All-Star weekend, leading Calgary Flames’ Mark Giordano and Johnny Gaudreau to a 1-0 win in the championship. He scored twice during the tournament.

The petition from Q107’s Sarah Crosbie and Jeff Brown says Scott is the “epitome of a classy professional athlete.”
