SASKATOON – With just under a week under Super Bowl 50, hype and business in Saskatoon is picking up. Now, the Denver Broncos cheerleaders have turned to a Saskatoon-based company for some custom rain gear for the big day.
Clothing manufacturer Mee Sports received a rush order from Denver’s cheerleaders right after the Broncos qualified for the Super Bowl.
“It was a bit of surprise,” said Mee Sports operations manager Peter Wills.
“They phoned us the day after they qualified for the Super Bowl by beating New England realizing there is a good chance of rain in San Francisco.”

The team was looking for soft-shell jackets to wear at this Sunday’s big game.
This isn’t the first NFL cheerleading squad the company has supplied.
“We’ve worked with many NFL cheerleading teams over the past five years but not the Denver Broncos,” said Wills.
This marks the eighth NFL cheer team Mee Sports has outfitted.
