EDMONTON- Police are investigating a stabbing that happened inside the Bonnie Doon Mall Sunday afternoon.
Officers were called to the southeast Edmonton mall around 4:15 p.m.
Police responded to reports of a man being stabbed in the neck, however he was actually stabbed in the chin.
The man was taken to hospital in serious but non-life threatening condition. No other information has been released about him.
Police believe the stabbing was not random. They say there was no threat to shoppers inside the mall.
The suspect fled the scene but, at 5:30 p.m., Staff Sgt. Gerry Nash said an arrest was imminent.
The mall remained open while officers investigated.
