It happened near Bezanson, which is about 35 km east of Grande Prairie. The man had turned east onto Highway 43 when an eastbound truck, unable to avoid the SUV, crashed into it. The impact flipped over the trailer. Another pickup traveling behind the truck and trailer then collided with the crash.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
