Hundreds of rodeo lovers have descended on the North Okanagan as the Falkland Stampede kicked off on Saturday.
More than 360 competitors are expected to participate in the festivities. Many of the competitors are Canadian but some hail from the United States and as far away as Australia.

Stampede organizer Jason Churchill says about 5,500 people are expected to trickle through during the three-day event.
Churchill says there have been no difficulties thus far, officials are just hoping for good weather this long weekend.
The parade begins on Sunday at 1 p.m. and the rodeo kicks off at 2 p.m. The event runs until Monday.
